Small Hydroelectric Power Plants
Small hydro is the development of hydroelectric power stretching to 25 megawatts (MW) and 30 MW in Canada and the USA. The scale is capable of serving a small community, industrial plant or adding to the grid. In some locations, small hydro will be used to help recycle products, produce alternative fuels, make bullet trains, electric cars, and air powered cars feasible or the construction of atmospheric clean-up machines green. Estimates are that 100 plants are needed in California alone.
Three technology advances in building a field make this project very viable. Adding geothermal heat recovery to these solar fields yields 24-hour, 365-day generating capacity.
